Delisa and Lorraine begin their 12 week Swan program. In
Los Angeles, they quickly learn the first rule of the program,
no mirrors. Being alone hits both women early and hard.
For Delisa, her first step is a visit to her plastic surgeon,
Dr. Dubrow. His goal is to feminize her. The tummy is the
first thing discussed, this procedure will help Delisa, but
she must accept a large scar. Dr. Dubrow and Delisa also discuss
a breast lift and liposuction of the inner thighs. For changes
to the face, the doctor suggests Fotofacial treatments after
surgery to remove freckles and brown spots. Dr. Dubrow feels
Delisa will look amazing after surgery and Delisa is so excited.
Lorraine’s Swan program begins with a dental appointment.
She has had dentures for 13 years and can’t really bite
into anything. Cosmetic dentist Dr. Sherri Worth explains
to Delisa the process of implants. The process will take five
weeks and require that Delisa stay on a liquid diet and see
the dentist regularly. Oral surgeon Dr. Rex Moody, an implant
specialist, helps Dr. Worth with the procedure. Doing the
surgery, they realize there is not much bone in the mouth
and that it has worn away. For Dr. Worth, this is the most
work she has ever done on "The Swan."
Delisa has a nutritional consultation. She admits that she
likes sweets and the nutritionist informs her that she needs
to lose 22 pounds. For Delisa, this will be the hardest part
of the program.
Next up for Lorraine is a meeting with plastic surgeon Dr.
Haworth. He tells Lorraine that they will try to reinvent
the oral area. To support lower face, a chin reduction and
lip lift will be done. To rejuvenate Lorraine’s body,
liposuction, breast lift, and a tummy tuck will be performed.
The night before surgery, Delisa has nothing but her marriage
on her mind. However, she doesn’t want to call her husband.
So she feels isolated and lonely. For Lorraine, the pain of
her dental work is keeping her up.
On the day of surgery, Delisa’s army spirit kicks in.
After being marked, Delisa was ready for surgery. She is looking
forward to new her new look. Dr. Dubrow works on the stomach
first. A browlift, helps open up and brighten her eyes. Extensive
body surgery was done on Delisa, however, the rest will be
done in the gym. Delisa has a positive attitude coming out
of surgery. While recovering, she felt like throwing up, and
had to deal with the fact that she had to let others take
care of her.
For Lorraine’s surgery, Dr. Worth came in for surgery
with Dr. Haworth. Lorraine’s chin, fat was added to
add weight to lower jawbone. The doctor began with the tummy
tuck. After closing her up, the doctor felt everything went
splendid. The lower half of Lorraine’s face was completely
rebuilt, and now she faces a tough recovery. And that did
happen, as she began suffering from headaches. Pain medication
was given; however, Dr. Haworth felt Lorraine may not heal
in time for the pageant.
As Delisa was recovering from surgery, she was served with
divorce papers. This was something that she was expecting.
Swan coach Nely Galan comes in to talk with Delisa. Delisa
tells Nely that she thought that she would be ready for this,
but Nely tells her that she can be never ready. This situation
broke Nely’s heart. Delisa felt that Nely’s support
helped comforted her and made it easier to deal with this
situation.
Lorraine calls home for support. People are hanging out with
her family at home. She grows mad and doesn’t want to
say anything, because she feels like no one is missing her.
During therapy Dr. Ianni, helps Lorraine confront her issues
with her mother. For Delisa, therapy helps her to work on
her future. Delisa has gained a new sense of self and making
progress.
Before going in for her final dental visit, Lorraine receives
a visit from Swan coach Nely to provide some support. Lorraine
has her permanent teeth put in and this was a very emotional
experience for her.
For Delisa, she is still struggle with her biggest challenge
in the competition, trying to overcome her sweet tooth. She
is losing the battle of the bulge. But she tries to resist
sweets and heads to the gym to lose those last crucial pounds.
With one month until the final reveal, the two women will
have to push themselves if they want to make it into the pageant.
It is finally the night of the reveal and Delisa has her
reveal first. Delisa comes into room with her new stunning
look. She has butterflies in her stomach but feels terrific
and like a whole person. Finally the moment came where she
saw herself in the mirror for the first time in three months.
Delisa looks in mirror and gasps. Her words were "wow"
and "amazing," she was choked up. She particularly
liked the subtle changes in face, like her eyes.
Lorraine’s reveal was next and she comes in looking
nothing like her former self. She used to feel tired, ugly
and old. But now, she feels she has self-confidence and self-worth.
At the mirror, she is amazed by what she sees. "That
doesn’t even look like me" were her words. She
also looks at her teeth and says they "look awesome."
Delisa came to "The Swan" with a tough exterior
and on the brink of divorce. She emerged as a feminine woman
looking to embrace life as a sexy woman. Lorraine was looking
for dental reconstruction and self-esteem. She emerged a confident
beauty. However, only one can go to the pageant. And the judges
chose Delisa to move on to the pageant. Lorraine’s husband
comes to surprise her, and he is blown away when saw her.

new look. Lorraine is excited about the person she’s
become and who she will be when she gets home.
