Tonight's episode of "Extreme Makeover!" the television series features the youngest person ever to get a makeover. Plus, a stock racing car fan goes on the ride of his life when he goes to LA for a makeover.

Katie is the first teenager to have a makeover on the show. She is suffering from a life threatening deformity as Katie has a severe overgrowth of her lower jaw. This not only affects her appearance, but also her health. It is hard for Katie to bite down on food and chew, which could cause her to choke. People would look at her and think she has down syndrome. Katie has never kissed a boy, or even been on a date. She volunteers at a youth center after school, where she is not judged and always loved. Then one day at the youth center, the executive director of the center told Katie in front of everyone, that she is getting a makeover. Everyone in the room was cheering.

Katie arrived at the Makeover Mansion with her mom. This gave Katie peace of mind. She then meets with fitness guru Michael Thurmond. Since Katie's jaw will be broken as a result of surgery, Michael puts her on an all liquid diet. Then as soon as she can eat solids again, she will be able to work out. Katie then goes from Hollywood to Long Beach to meet Dr. Tim Silegy, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. The doctor points out that Katie's lower lip is an inch farther than the upper lip. Dr. Silegy will have to rebuild the infrastructure of the lower face.

On the day of surgery, Katie's mom is waiting at the hospital for her. This is truly an extreme surgery. During the operation, Dr. Silegy makes a small incision inside the mouth, fractures the jaw. While separating the jaw, the doctor finds the nerve down the middle and preserves it. Three titanium screws are placed on each side. The doctor makes sure the jaw works correctly, and that the bite is stable. Dr. Silegy feels Katie's jaw is going to look normal and function well.

Three weeks after surgery, Katie gets the opportunity to look at her jaw for the first time. Katie looked in the mirror and the first thing she thought was that she looked normal, like everyone else. After that, came the other makeover procedures. Dermatologist Dr. Ava Shamban gave laser treatments, light treatments, and chemical peels to clear the surface of the skin. Cosmetic dentist Dr. Bill Dorfman finishes the work Dr. Silegy began. Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Griffin got Katie's lip in perfect position and periodontist Dr. Ari Rosenblatt got her gums in perfect position. Dr. Dorfman fitted Katie with 6 veneers for the front teeth, changing their appearance. When Katie saw her smile in the mirror, she had tears of joy.

Katie has been on her makeover for six weeks and she misses her mom and sister. It is hard for her, but feels she can learn from this experience and feel what it is like to be on her own. Next for Katie was a visit to LASIK eye surgeon Dr. Robert Maloney's office. The doctor informs her that the right eye is nearsighted and the left eye is very farsighted and her vision is worse than being considered legally blind. Unfortunately Dr. Maloney cannot perform LASIK eye surgery on Katie because she's only 18 and her vision is still changing every year. He won't be able to do it until her vision stabilizes. However, she can wear contacts until she is old enough for LASIK. So Katie has some fun trying out some wild contact lenses.

Katie was now beginning to look like a young woman. Cardiovascular exercises and workout with Michael Thurmond helped her lose 29 ½ pounds and lost 30 ½ inches total from her body. Katie has a new body, and thanks to style expert Sam Saboura, some hot new clothes. On the last day of her makeover, hair colorist Kim Vo changes Katie's hair to blonde. After getting a new hair style, makeup artist Darcy Gilmore applies makeup and gives some makeup tips. Katie saw her final results in the mirror and gasped. It surpassed her expectations. Everyone gave her a big hug.

Eight weeks ago, Katie wanted to feel normal and comfortable with herself. Now, for the first time, she felt pretty. When Katie walked down the steps and revealed her new look to everyone, she first saw her mom, who was in such a shock, she couldn't breathe. Katie hugged her mom and didn't want to let go. Dr. Silegy was also at the reveal party. Katie feels this makeover has changed her life.

Nate is a very bright man, but his looks have caused him to be rejected from jobs. He has a degree in psychology, but works on an assembly line. It's like people look at him and take away IQ points. However, Nate has an IQ score in the high 150's. Nate would like to do something about his teeth and have his nose done. He is a big Indy 500 fan and one of his dreams is to win the Indy 500. However, Nate's ultimate dream is to have a wife and family. For Nate, romance is a dream as distant as the Indy 500. Then one day, Indy 500 star Dan Wheldon comes to Nate's favorite sports bar. He has a video clip from fellow race car driver Buddy Rice telling Nate that he is going to get a makeover. Dan and Nate drive away from the sports bar in style as they drive off in an Indy race car.

Nate goes Los Angeles and meets with plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher. The doctor suggests raising Nate's brow. For the nose, Dr. Fisher sees the tip is large and wide, and that the nose is a little bit long. Nate's next meeting is with cosmetic dentist Dr. Bill Dorfman who doesn't have a lot of good news for Nate. Some of Nate's teeth are hopeless and have to be removed. So while some teeth are taken out, implants are put in. Nate takes a look at his teeth and can smile again, which is like a dream come true.

Now it was time for surgery. Once Nate was asleep, Dr. Fisher transforms him. He begins with a brow lift, and then releases crow's feet around the eyes. For Dr. Fisher, the surgery was a challenge because Nate's skin is thick and oily. Later, Dr. Shamban clears Nate's complexion, Dr. Maloney performs LASIK eye surgery to provide proper vision. A few days later, Nate looks like a totally different person. He was really excited about what he saw. After Sam Saboura provided some style tips, it was time for Nate to get his hair colored and cut, eyebrows were trimmed, and the beard was shaved off.

Eight weeks ago, Nate wanted to brighten his looks and his life. Now, back home, he feels more self-confidence. The reveal party takes place at the Indy 500 hall of fame museum.
