Manu:

Manu is a 33-year-old United States Army Captain from Alexandria, Virginia. She has spent her life being a soldier and has served her country with honor, but now she felt it was time to look more feminine. Manu feels that being on Extreme Makeover™ the television series will help her to be admired as a sophisticated woman. Manu got her wish when she found out that she had been selected for the show.

In Los Angeles, Manu meets with her plastic surgeon Dr. Jon Perlman. Their consultation involved what Manu would like to have worked on and Dr. Perlman providing his suggestions on how he can help Manu enhance her appearance.
Manu will undergo several procedures including:

  • Rhinoplasty
  • Buccal fat pad removal
  • Liposuction
  • Breast lift
  • Breast enlargement
  • Tummy tuck

Manu will also receive skin treatments from dermatologist Dr. Ava Shamban. Dermatology procedures include:

  • Foto Facial
  • Laser Hair removal
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Acne surgery

Cosmetic dentist Dr. Bill Dorfman performed Zoom whitening on Manu s teeth and Dr. Maloney performed LASIK eye surgery on Manu to help give her clearer vision.

Extreme team fashion stylist Sam Saboura helped Manu change her wardrobe, fitness trainer Michael Thurmond helped her get into shape. After hair stylists and makeup artists put on the finishing touches, Manu was ready to reunited with her friends and family after undergoing weeks of extreme makeover procedures.

Jerry:

Jerry is a 39-year-old respiratory therapist from Harrison, Tennessee. Jerry’s funny personality has helped make others laugh and was even the class clown, however he wasn’t laughing on the inside. Jerry wants this opportunity to have the Extreme Makeover in order to boost his self-esteem and to not be so self-conscious about his appearance. Jerry gets the opportunity to feel better about his appearance when he found out he had been selected for Extreme Makeover™ the television series.

Jerry’s plastic surgeon is also Dr. Jon Perlman and when the doctor asked Jerry how he could help, Jerry pointed out the features he was unhappy with. Dr. Perlman provided his suggestions, and when the consultation visit was over, both parties had a good idea of what would be done to help Jerry reach his cosmetic goals.

Jerry's plastic surgery will include:

  • Rhinoplasty
  • Chin jowl implant
  • Buccal fat pad removal
  • Lower eyelid surgery
  • Fat injections to the face
  • Chin liposuction
  • Liposuction of the abdomen

Jerry also received dental work, performed by Dr. Bill Dorfman, which included:

  • Gum surgery
  • 15 DaVinci veneers

Other Extreme Team specialists that helped Jerry included Dr. Robert Maloney, who performed LASIK eye surgery on Jerry. Dr. William Rassman performed hair transplant surgery and restoration on Jerry.

While recovering from all these procedures, fitness trainer Michael Thurmond helped Jerry get into shape. Sam Saboura helped pick out a new wardrobe for Jerry and introduced him to celebrity hair stylist Piny Benzaken to provide Jerry with a new look. When completed with his makeover, Jerry was able to reveal his new look to his friends, family, and most especially to his young wife.
