Marcelo:

Marcelo is a 24-year-old pizza delivery man from Altadena, CA. Marcelo is unhappy with the way his face looks, especially with all the acne scars on his face. People would call him names like "Pepperoni Face." Marcelo was forced to take care of his sister and grandmother when they were taken away from his parents. Along with receiving a makeover, Marcelo has always dreamed of attending college to become a psychologist. However, his lack of self confidence is keeping him from pursuing his dreams. The makeover will help him gain the confidence he needs. Marcelo gets his wish when he finds out he is going to be a part of the Extreme Makeover™ television series.

Marcelo first met with his plastic surgeon, Dr. Barbara Hayden. Dr. Hayden performed cosmetic surgery. Dr. Robert Maloney performed LASIK eye surgery. Dr. Shamban helped Marcelo deal with all of his acne and facial skin problems. Dr. Bill Dorfman provided Marcelo with a smile makeover. Sam Saboura provided some fashion tips. After a new hairstyle was provided at the Makeover Mansion, the makeover was complete.

Lachele:

Lachele is a 24-year-old care worker for mentally disabled people from Cincinnati, OH. Lachele always cares for others and acts like a second mother to her siblings, a younger brother and sister. She wants to continue helping other people and hopes to one day become a nurse. She feels that her looks prevent those around her from taking her seriously and seeing past her appearance. Lachele wants a makeover so to change all of that. Lachele, a young woman who is always taking care of others, but never gets the chance to take care of herself. But that changes when she finds out she is going to Los Angeles and be a part of the Extreme Makeover™ television series.

Her makeover journey begins when she meets with her Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher. Lachele and Dr. Fisher discuss what she would like to have done and the doctor explaining what he is going to do during surgery. Lachele has her surgery, and a few days later gets a peek at her results and likes what she sees. Later, Dr. Donia provides Lachele with a smile makeover. Sam Saboura provides some style tips for her. Then after hair and makeup, Lachele's makeover was complete. Lachele goes home to Cincinnati for her big reveal, where her family and friends are waiting. And when she enters the room, there is nothing but cheers and joy.
