THE GOBBLE GIRLS:

Jennie, Katie, and Frannie are three sisters from Arizona. They call themselves the gobble girls, all with low-hanging turkey necks with excess skin and a protruding nose. The three sisters want to gain a more feminine look. The oldest sister, Jennie is a gold miner and 45-year-old divorced mother of three and grandmother. Katie is the middle sister and 43-year-old divorced mother of three who works as a wallpaper hanger. Frannie, the youngest sister, is a 40-year-old metal worker and divorced mother of one.

The Gobble Girls lives will soon change when they find out they will be going to Hollywood to be a part of Extreme Makeover the television series. They were given the star treatment out in Hollywood and there, they also made a big splash.

Three sisters, three surgeries, and plastic surgeon Garth Fisher, MD, FACS, is the Extreme Team doctor who will perform all three. Dr. Fisher notices the girls all have the same problems. Their nose is too long, all of their breasts have to be lifted and reduced, a lot of extra skin is on their stomachs, and a lot of work needs to be done in the neck region. During the sisters initial consultation, Dr. Fisher shows them computer images of what their necks will look like after surgery. After the consultation, the three sisters go to Rodeo Drive to shop for their dream wardrobe.

Next was to go into the "Bod Pod," which measures body fat. Men should be less than 20% body fat while women should be less than 30%. After stepping into the bod pod, each sister got their results and they were all within a hair of each other at about 38% body fat. That meant the Gobble Girls needed to melt off that body fat. They were going to do it with the help of celebrity fitness trainer, Michael Thurmond. He will put the girl through a strict diet and give them a workout to help them lose weight. But before they start their healthy regiment, the girls are treated to one last big meal.

Katie then goes to dermatologist Dr. Ava Shamban for skin resurfacing, primarily looking at the leg veins. Dr. Shamban injects the varicose veins with a concentrated form of salt water, which shuts down the vein. The varicose veins vanish right before our eyes.

Without her glasses, Jennie can’t even see herself in the mirror, unless she gets really close. So she will receive LASIK eye surgery from Dr. Robert Maloney. At just three minutes per eye, the procedure is complete. Jennie notices the difference immediately and is able to read her watch without the aid of glasses or contact lenses.

After a month in Los Angeles, the day of surgery arrives. Dr. Garth Fisher will work for three consecutive days, one for each sister. The first to go is Frannie, the baby sister. The surgery will provide Frannie with a flatter tummy, firmer breasts, and for the first time on Extreme Makeover™ the television series, breast reduction is featured. Dr. Fisher brings Jennie’s size DD to about a C or D size. The doctor also has the breasts lifted for better shape. Now the surgery was over, and Jennie, the oldest sister, is there to watch over Frannie. It is difficult for Jennie to see her baby sister in that condition.

Katie is the next to undergo surgery. She undergoes the same procedures as Frannie. After seeing her two sisters come out of surgery, Jennie becomes nervous. Then on the third day, Jennie underwent her surgery, also undergoing the same procedures as her sisters. This was an exhausting experience for Dr. Fisher; it was three long days of consecutive surgeries.

All three sisters are recovering from surgery, and sharing the pain and recovery process together. However, the pain subsides. After a week, it was time to preview the results of their neck lift. Jennie’s neck was the first focus, and the results…no more gobble neck. These results were the same for the other sisters. They also looked at their new noses. Frannie said she never had a nose that thin, narrow and straight.

Next for Jennie, Katie and Frannie was a visit to dentist Dr. Bill Dorfman’s office. Dr. Dorfman will give the girls a smile makeover. When completing the work, Dr. Dorfman shows each of the girls what they’re smile looked like before and then gives them a mirror to let them see what they’re smiles look like now. Then Dr. Dorfman has all three sisters look at each other’s new smiles together. The girls all give Dr. Dorfman a big hug.

The sisters make another trip to Dr. Fisher’s office, this time to preview their new breasts and bellies. The results are good. The girls’ tummies are flat, and the waistline has gone down a lot. Over six weeks since their surgery, the sisters now feel good about showing off their new bodies. This whole tremendous experience has brought Jennie, Katie and Frannie closer together. All three of them had tough girl image, now they have a chance to be more feminine. They can’t wait to start dating again and even want to go on a single’s cruise after all this is over.

The Extreme Team fashion expert, Sam Saboura gives the girls a visit. They go shopping for tankinis and other bathing suits. Then Sam shows up wearing a sailor suit, and handing the girls tickets for a Carnival cruise when their makeover is complete.

It has been almost 12 weeks in Los Angeles, and now comes the final touches. Sam tells the girls that fashion designer Eduardo Lucero will be design their reveal dresses from scratch. So Jennie, Katie and Frannie each have a dress designed to show off their new bodies.

A week before the big reveal, the three sisters are separated and will not see each other again until their big reveal on the cruise ship. In the meantime they are styled uniquely. Kim Vo adds color to their new hairstyle, and celebrity makeup artist provides makeup for the three sisters.

The day of the reveal finally arrived. Eight family and friends were brought from across the country to see the new looks of Jennie, Katie and Frannie. Sam Saboura is the person who makes the introductions. The first is Jennie, the eldest sister, who has now found her femininity. When she came down the steps to reveal her makeover to everyone, all she saw was her kids and they were happy to see her. Jennie feels that this whole experience has changed here to a new and better person.

The next reveal was Katie, who feels better than she has in a long time. She revealed her makeover to everyone, and her sister Jennie couldn’t believe it was her. Katie feels this has been one of the best experiences of her life and would do it a million times over.

The final reveal was for baby sister Frannie, who feels like a princess during her reveal. Once again, Jennie couldn’t believe that was her sister she was seeing. Katie thought that Frannie looked like a hottie. Sam said that the sisters were no longer the "Gobble Girls," but the "Glamour Girls." Family and friends bid the girls goodbye as their final wish came true, going on a singles cruise. This was a triple extreme makeover.
