Extreme Makeover™ the television series

This is a special episode of Extreme Makeover™ the television series, because not only do two more individuals find out they have been selected for the show, but it also shows these two individuals finding each other and falling in love.

James:

James is 23 years old and living in Colorado Springs, CO. James has always been concerned about his looks ever since he was young. Unfortunately, a cruel beating by his peers left James scarred both physically and psychologically. James wants to be selected for Extreme Makeover™ the television show in order to make improvements to his appearance and as a result, return to school and then eventually start a career. The first step of James’ plan came true when he found out he was selected to be on Extreme Makeover™ the television series.

When in Los Angeles, James first met his plastic surgeon Dr. Harvey Zarem. James explained the features he was unhappy with and wanted to change and Dr. Zarem provided his insight to what can be done.

James also received therapy from the Extreme Team psychologist Catherine Selden. She helped James deal with the psychological scars he received in the past. Of course, no episode is complete without the appearance of stylist Sam Saboura to help give James a fashion makeover.

After weeks of undergoing procedures, James was ready to go home and present his new appearance to his friends and family.

Kacie:

Kacie is 21 years old and lives in Corona, CA. Kacie wants this opportunity to be on Extreme Makeover™ the television series to help fulfill her dream of becoming a beautician and help improve her looks and self-esteem. Kacie finds out her dreams were about to come true when she found out she had been selected to be on the Extreme Makeover™ television series.

Kacie’s plastic surgeon is Dr. Jon Perlman. During the consultation, one of the issues Kacie presents is the tattoo she has of her ex-husband’s name located below her belly button. After discussing what Kacie would like to have changed and Dr. Perlman provided his recommendations, Dr. Perlman understands what procedures he will perform to help Kacie.

During the recovery period, Kacie spent time with James and the two began falling in love with each other. The two shared painful memories, as well as both sharing a strong desire to improve their appearance. On the last part of Kacie’s makeover, she received a visit from Extreme Team stylist Sam Saboura. He helped improve her wardrobe, as well as introduce Kacie to celebrity hair stylists and makeup artists to prepare her for her big reveal.

Kacie received a warm celebration from her friends and family when she returned home for her reveal. However there was another surprise for Kacie, waiting for her at the reveal was James. After being separated weeks before completing their makeover, the two were reunited during Kacie’s reveal. The next surprise came when Kacie was presented with a full scholarship to Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School. Being on Extreme Makeover involved pain, sacrifice and some struggles for Kacie and James, but in the end, they both ended up looking better than ever, had a chance for a new life, and in the process were able to find love.
