Most of the country has been following the tragic story of Caylee Anthony and her mother’s trial for murder, of which she was acquitted and found not guilty. Now, as Casey Anthony is set to be freed from prison on July 17, 2011, there has been speculation that she may be seeking to live in a “witness protection” style of life for her safety. Along with fleeing to an undisclosed location and going by a new name, Anthony may also consider undergoing cosmetic plastic surgery to further hide from the enraged public.

This week, plastic surgeon Dr. Stuart A. Linder spoke with “Entertainment Tonight” via Skype regarding the potential facial procedures that Anthony could undergo. According to the Beverly Hills doctor, a multitude of enhancements would more than likely make Anthony almost unrecognizable. Dr. Linder suggests removal of skin in the upper and lower eyelids, along with a browlift to change the shape of the eyes. Cheek implants would change the entire structure of the face, as would nose surgery to reshape the bridge and tip of the nose. Additionally, implants in the jawline and a chin reduction would further reconstruct the lower portion of the face. Dr. Linder also suggests injectable fillers for the lips.

Combining all these procedures would essentially help Anthony achieve a new physical identity, and make it difficult for the public to identify her. However, a complete facial makeover would carry a great cost – approximately $60,000 for all the procedures. Yet, if the claims of money being sent to Anthony are true, this may not be an issue should she seriously consider undergoing plastic surgery.

As it stands, the Chicago Sun-Times reports that she is not interested in surgery, yet there are many people who feel that it may be in her best interest. “Casey really does not completely understand the depth of hatred out there. She’s fully aware of the various death threats, of course, but she thinks that’s isolated to relatively few nutcases,” a source states in the article.  Additionally a community calling themselves, "Casey Anthony better get plastic surgery done if she wants to stay alive" recently surfaced on Facebook

Although Anthony doesn’t seem to be interested in plastic surgery at the moment, she can take a look at these few examples as a glimpse to what she may anticipate should she fear for her life in the future.

What do you think? Should Casey Anthony undergo cosmetic plastic surgery upon release?
