Fashion Shows for Former Cosmetic Surgery Patients

Cosmetic Surgery

With the boost in self-confidence that many cosmetic surgery patients experience post-procedure, is it any wonder why they would want to flaunt their newly financed figures? If you ask Stephen T. Greenberg, M.D., a board certified New York plastic surgeon, the answer is most certainly "no."

In fact, Dr. Greenberg just recently put on a "cosmetic surgery fashion show" for his patients who had undergone aesthetic enhancements. As explained in a New York Times article from last month (when the event took place), 10 women participated in the show, all of which were between the ages of 22 and 51, and recent clients of Dr. Greenberg.

Showcasing their improved appearances, having had procedures such as breast reduction, tummy tuck surgery, and many others, these plastic surgery patients confidently strutted their stuff down the runway in front of an adoring audience comprised of their friends and family.

With plastic and cosmetic enhancements becoming ever more popular, women as well as men are becoming more comfortable disclosing their surgical conquests. In fact, there is a huge Reality TV entertainment market for such a topic - think Dr. 90210, The Swan, and Extreme Makeover.

And models are definitely no stranger to having their bodies modified. It is no secret that Janice Dickenson and Anna Nicole Smith had surgical alterations. It''s also rumored that Elle MacPherson, Heidi Klum, and Gisele Bundchen have all had breast augmentation (early in their careers), although they may deny that they have.

As for the patients-turned-models in Dr. Greenberg''s fashion show; they were happy to showcase their new looks. With such a fantastic turnout, I''m sure we can expect follow-up runway events put on by their beloved plastic surgeon.
